When to Go

Best visit time -- Spring and Fall because of its mild temperatures..

General weather information,
Ten day forecast and sunset/sunrise time.
Five days weather forest with local radar.


Itineraries

At least one day:
Zion-Mt. Carmel Highway & Zion Canyon Scenic Drive -- a half to full day,
Kolob Canyons Road -- a hour to half day.

Accommodations

Camping:

Total 2 campgrounds are operated by National Park Service.
South campground is open year-round. First-come, first-serve.
Watchman campground is open from early April to later October,
You can make a reservation at the National Park service reservation center.

You must have a backcountry permit to overnight backpacking trips, to all through hikes of the Virgin River, the Left Fork of North Creek, Kolob Creek, and all canyons requiring the use of descending gear or ropes. Permits are issued at both visitor centers up to three days in advance of your trip.

Zion Lodge is the only lodging inside the park. Open year-round. You can make an on-line reservation request through Xanterra Parks and Resorts.
