   We will stay in Mex city for 3 nights, and the gradually move to Cancun, will stay in Playa Del Carmen for 4 nights (22-25) and leave on 26th.

   有个问题,Tulum肯定是要去的,Xelha这个要去么?有啥好玩的?大家说说,呵呵.另外,还有啥别的玩的?

   My itineries: 12-18~~12-24
   (just talked with a friend family since we will be there together, but we off one day):

   12-18: afternnon, checkin, Cancun beach, relax
   12-19: jungle tour (1/2 day)
   12-20: chichen itza (1 day)
   12-21: xcaret park (1 day)
   12-22: Xel-Ha park and Tulum runis (1 day)
   12-23: Cozumel
   12-24: Isla Mujeres (? not decide yet)
   12-25: back home

   hengjihengji, the reason I want to rent a car is I donot like to go with tour. Tour bus will be slow and a lot of people. Also driving is not that hard based on the online travelogue, and car rental is about $50/day, comparing to tours, that is even cheaper and a lot of convinient.

   But talking with my friend, we will just rent the car for the time we plan to go to the far place. In another word, we plan to drive to Chichen Itza, Xcaret Park and Tulum/Xel-Ha. For Cozemel and Isla Mujeres, whatever we will take a ferry and may rent a car at island later. Cozemel has scooter for rent, and Isla Mujeres has bike for rent. :=)

   deepred, why you go Xel-Ha/Tulum twice?

   About major interesting destination, beside my previous post, the others are:

   Uxmal (not sure, a little bit far, a little bit tight with Chichen Itza together)

   Playa Del Carman (shopping, some beaches may topless)

   I am thinking I donot have the time to go to Uxmal, Chichen Itza should be good enough for me.

   Car rental,
   ACE, acerentacar.com, compact, base price $27.5/day. That is the cheapest (A/T) car I found through kayak.com

   另外,我本来想定便宜一点的hotel(23-26),但是看review好像有大蟑螂,555,只好定贵的了.可是刚刚bid,$150没拍下来啊,怎么办啊?5555555555555

    deepred, my friend did not get that price for 12-24~27. The reason is the overall price is much higher than $150. The reason I get it is because I paid more for the Friday, so by calculation the price for 24/25 is above $185.

    if you donot have to pay that much, try to find some at Playa del Carmen. They may cheaper. what is the price at Hotwire?

    My friend books an alternate at Playa del Carmen, all-inclusive. I can help to ask if you want to know the detail.

    昨天查酒店的时候发现solymar这个酒店(在omni旁边)里面有一部分是condo形式的,就是卖给其他人了.似乎不错$100一天,大家觉得怎么样?我一会打电话问问具体情况再来汇报.

    Playa del carmen我查了一下也很贵啊,如果那个condo不行的话,再麻烦fufu帮我问问你的朋友吧,多谢.

    My friend just give me another webpage about the car rental at mexico, the deal is not bad. for example, including CDW, the price is around $40/day.

    说是high-speed Internet access in our lobby and designated public areas, 不知道房间里信号有没有？deepred, 别太正式了，因为行程关系说不准的，择日不如撞日，我到时候把我房间电话贴这，你去Omni Business center应该可以上网看见。 hengjihengji，你来不来啊，Omni 对面就有家海鲜餐厅据说不错。
